Vishal Sikka, the CEO of Infosys has officially stepped down from his role after being associated with the firm for almost 3 years. The reason mentioned behind such a massive decision was ‘him being buckled under the pressure and the constant negativity in the work environment’.
Sikka, now being the former CEO of Infosys marked his resignation in regard with the ongoing war between the company’s board and its co-founders since past many months. The board as well as Sikka blamed the continuous personal attacks on him by the company’s co-founder Narayana Murthy as the reason behind the resignation.
Many dots are being connected to his resignation, when talking about the tussle b/w the co founders and his work ethics. But in the latest development of this issue, Narayan Murthy, the founder of Infosys, anguishly rubbished the allegations and stated that ‘My concern primarily was the deteriorating standard of corporate governance which I have repeatedly brought to the notice of the Infosys board,” Murthy said in an e-mailed statement’.
With such a revelation in the IT world, both VishaL Sikka and Narayan Murthy are on the constant move to counter each other and portray themselves as being in the best interests of Infosys – but now the question lingers, ‘Who will replace Sikka and carry his legacy? OR Will it go back to Nanden Nilekani?’.
